    Overview
    This course is about general political theory and is compulsory for undergraduate students. It teaches students an important part of the basic theories on Marxism. By the end of this course students could be able to hold the contents and main methods about Marxist Political Economics. The basic starting points and class standpoint when Marx analyzed social economic relation, and understand the inevitability of the social development from initial stage to advanced one. This owing to the objectivity of the economic operation. Students will understand better the economic phenomenon, economic regular pattern, the development trend of the economic basis, and the economic policies of the Party and governments in the course of socialist economic development.

    By the end of this course students will be able to understand better and know:

    l          The relation between productivity and relation of production
    l          The objectivities and characters of economic regular pattern, the relation between human and economic regular pattern
    l          How to put the theories into practice, make application of the basic knowledge to analyze and study the practical economic problems

    l          The basic economic system in the initial period of Socialism
    l          The distribution system of socialist individual incomes
    l          The relationship between the distribution according to one’s performance and distribution according to contributing Elements;
    l          The influence of economic globalization on the development of our economy

    Teaching Method
    The course is taught in class basically. The heuristic teaching method and question and answers are adopted; students are encouraged to think critically. Interactions is also adopted in class between teachers and students, students are allowed to share part of the teaching as well; case teaching and multimedia teaching are also available.
